Gift of life for Ricky

Hello Facebook friends and family.  This is Tammy (the tent lady) with Fairy Tale Tents and Party Rentals. The gentleman in the picture is  Ricky Barrow. He is co-owner of Fairy Tale Tents and Party Rentals and Health-Vac Carpet Cleaning of Statesboro, GA.  He was my life partner for many years and we still share business ownership and a very special friendship. He was diagnosed in April of this year with acute liver failure.  He is currently waiting to be placed on UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing) liver transplant list.  He has been employed for many years with our two companies but, since his diagnosis, he has been unable to work.  My  son, Gage,   and I have taken full responsibility of the companies while allowing Ricky the time to focus on his health. This has been a challenge for us but we are managing to continue with a lot of gratitude.  Our family and friends  have been a tremendous asset and strength for us .  We have all been struggling through this most difficult time.  Ricky is the father of 3 most amazing boys (Shannon, Chris and Gage) and the grandfather of one of the most adorable and rambunxious grandson's (Jayden).  Daily life for Ricky has changed  dramatically.  Because of his failing health, he is severely anemic and is receiving frequent blood transfusions.  He can no longer drive or even get outside.  He has lost over 60 pounds.  He stays nauseated most of the time and suffers from frequent vomiting.  He is also suffering  from hyponatremia due to the fluid loss which is not good for his kidneys.  He has spent 15 of the last 30 days in the hospital.  He is so weak now that he must use a walker and a wheelchair.  We are told that a liver transplant cost around $500,000 and that the pre- and post operation can cost around $60,000 to $100,000 each.  Although we have insurance, it doesn't pay for it all.  We have made many of our clients "fairy tale dreams" come true and now Ricky needs his  "fairy tale" to come true.  Please help Ricky with the liver that he needs to survive.  Thank you so very much for all thoughts, prayers, and donations.
