Kerry Hospice - Palliative Care Unit
In loving memory of Marie Rohan.
On Saturday the 30th of March, Marie's nephew, Adam will be participating in the Ballybunion Half Marathon in hopes to raise funds for the Palliative Care Unit Tralee.
As many of you know, my mom Marie had breast cancer for over two years.
During this time we spent a lot of time in UHK Palliative Outpatient and Inpatient Units and the remaining six months of moms life was spent in the Inpatient Unit. A place where the staff feel like family and make you as comfortable as possible.
Throughout our time here, mom received the highest level of care from Dr Patricia Sheahan and her team. While cancer is a word that no one wants to hear or speak about, the team in UHK were so helpful and no ask was too big. The compassion and dignity the doctors and nurses showed mom in her final days and indeed, to the whole of our family was second to none.
The Palliative Care Unit Tralee is a voluntary organisation that relies on the donations of us, the public to continue providing such amazing services and support.
We would be grateful for any support or contribution to this cause . No donation is too little . Your donation will assist in providing continuous comfort and care to those in need .
Thank you
