Camilla's Cancer Treatment Expenses

This is an urgent appeal on behalf of our dear friend Camilla for funding for specialised medical care for cancer.

Many of you may recognise the name Camilla Skovgaard as the talented shoe designer, but to us she is our sweet, gentle friend who desperately needs our help, as she fights for her life. Recently diagnosed with staged IV cancer of the cervix the tumour is growing at an alarming rate and is very aggressive.

Camilla had no symptoms other than constipation and nothing had been detected in either a pap smear test 1.5 years ago nor recent blood tests. So, you can imagine the devastating shock of this diagnosis. They have estimated it has been growing for 1-2 years and already it has spread to the bones and there are 50 metastasises in the liver. She is deteriorating rapidly every day and we need to act fast.



You may be wondering why Camilla needs financial support, so we feel it’s necessary to let you know that she invested all her money and her family’s money into her new venture. She has now also lost her investors due to her illness. Nothing is left and as her close family and friends we cannot let money stand in the way of her survival. Ibiza and Spain have said there is nothing more they can do for her.

We have found a clinic in Frankfurt Germany who are confident they can help Camilla with a specialised process with successful rates achieved for similar cases. They induce hyperthermia as cancer weakens in high temperatures, making the chemo more effective even though less is used, and it can be targeted to the specific areas. But sadly, these specialised treatments are expensive, and we need to act fast as time is of the essence. She has been told she should start treatment within a week.

Camilla is only 45. She loves her life and wants to be able to continue to explore the new, to keep walking this earth and be in nature. We want that for her too. More than anything. So, we are putting our trust in the power and numbers of people. Collectively we can fight for her and take away some of the burden of this terrible disease. Any amount you can contribute is one step closer to her chances of survival.
