Help for Adam
Donation protected
Dear family and friends, please take a moment to read and consider donating, or sending prayers of support and love to our big brother, Adam.
If you are fortunate and blessed enough to know our brother, you know what a private person he is.
It took some convincing for him to agree to let us even create this GoFundMe to help alleviate and lessen some of his financial burden during this time.
In March of this year Adam was hospitalized for a week with pneumonia. At that time, the CT test showed a small "spot"on his lung. Thinking it was from the pneumonia, his doctor decided to wait and watch it and do a follow up CT in July. At the follow up, the "spot" was still present and had grown some. He was sent to Duluth to see a pulmonologist and have more tests. He was then scheduled for a biopsy on August 1st. His biopsy came back as Adenocarcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer. The good news is they think they caught it early enough and it hopefully has not spread.
Adam underwent surgery on Sept. 6th to remove the tumor and upper portion of his left lung. By removing the upper portion of his lung and not just the tumor, this will hopefully give him the best chance of non-reoccurance. Although the surgery did not go quite as planned, the surgeon was able to remove the upper portion of his left lung with the mass. They also biopsied his lymph nodes to make sure it has not spread. He will spend the next 3 to 5 days in the hospital on the Critical Care unit and will then be released to continue recovery at home with oxygen until he is able to resume normal activities. He has a long road ahead of him.
Adam is a seasonal truck driver. His work season is summer-time. He has already missed many days of work due to medical appointments and will have many more follow-up appointments and tests. Now, he will be missing the end of his work season and needs some financial help to cover his medical bills and living expenses this winter so he can focus on making a full recovery.
Adam has the biggest heart in the world. He gives his all to his family and friends and needs our help now. Adam would never ask for help so we are doing it for him. Please help us ease his worries by considering making a donation if you can. Even if it is small, Any amount can help. Keep our brother in your thoughts and prayers. Send him some good healing vibes and strength. We know he will be extremely grateful for it.
Adam and his entire family appreciate all of the love and support shown to him during this difficult time. Thank you for taking the time to read this and please leave a message for him to lift his spirits!
