200 Trees for Tallahassee's 200th Anniversary
Our team is planting 200 flowering Japanese Magnolias at the Broadmoor Pond to honor Tallahassee’s 200th anniversary. Help support this project, which is being led by middle school student volunteers. Our team includes representatives from different public and private middle schools in Tallahassee.
Donors who donate more than $500 donations will be recognized on an educational sign at the park and on the community planting day flyer. If you leave your email address, we will make sure you receive updates and we will use that email to obtain your logo. Funds are being collected now through October 31st. The Community Planting Day will take place on Saturday, January 22nd as part of Leon County's Arbor Day celebration.
All funds raised are going toward purchasing the trees and creating this iconic park with 200 flowering trees. Any additional funds raised will go towards the planting day and adding extra park features such as benches. The Martin Luther King Jr. Dare to Dream Association is serving as the fiscal agent for our student-led project. They are providing the services pro-bono.
