GHOST NEEDS YOUR HELP

Hello everyone. First I would like to thank everyone who shared our post , commented kind words and kept Ghost in your thoughts over the past few days. Today October 26th I received the call , Langley animal resource centre had found and picked Ghost up. With so much excitement and happiness we didn’t expect to hear the news get worse as the conversation went on. Unfortunately Ghost was hit by a driver and left in a ditch. The driver failed to have sympathy or enough of a heart to stop and call it in. With that being said it is unknown on how long Ghost had been injured before he was found ( 48 hours from the time he fled ) .

So far we have been told he was found 400 meters from the road. With his condition the vet says he was definitely hit and then dragged under the vehicle . This raises question and high concern to me. Not only was Ghost hit and dragged he was also then MOVED 400 meters off the road and into a ditch ! There is absolutely no way possible he moved himself that far away himself. He was hit dragged and then moved and left for dead in a ditch ! He is currently suffering from bruised lung trauma with a possible blood clot to the left lung. There is fluid in his belly as well as his hip being out of socket. His back foot is severely injured down to the bone ( sheered bone )

They are currently trying to figure out if his leg is able to be saved - if not amputation will be needed . Regardless of saving the leg or amputation Ghost will need multiple sedations and wound care on top of surgeries and more . The current estimated cost is a minimum of $10,000.00

You may be someone who sees Ghost regularly outside guarding his home. He has a deep bark and may seem aggressive at times . What you don’t know is Ghost was originally a rescue who was then re homed to us to provide him with the love and attention he deserves and needs . He really is just a jolly giant.

Ghost is a big bear who loves cuddles and to play. He’s a big brother to 3 little girls who absolutely adore him.

I know times are hard for everyone right now and the world we live in is difficult to say the least but if anyone is able to help even $1.00 it would be greatly appreciated. No animal deserves to suffer and unfortunately as we all know vet bills are extreme without pet insurance. Currently the cost is looking to be somewhere in or around $10,000.00. Any donations and even shares would be so gratefully appreciated.
