Family lost everything to Flood.

Hi, My name is Patricia Riddick, I’m writing on behalf of my sister Bonnie Riddick. Her family of 5 lost everything when her apartment was engulfed in flood waters due to hurricane IDA. She lives in the ground floor apartment of a two family home in Lodi, Nj. Her apartment was flooded with river water up to five feet high. She lost all of her and her children’s belongings the week before school started. Hurricane IDA came in hard and took everything in the apartment. The kids had to evacuate the apartment with the toys they treasured the most that week and the clothes on their backs. My sister tried to arrange everything so it was stored up high to avoid as much loss as she could. I spoke to my sister on the phone as her apartment was underwater and we tried to think of what was left behind she told me how she stored an envelope with all the birth certificates on top of the refrigerator to keep dry. The next day she saw her refrigerator floating in her apartment. The last picture is of her refrigerator on its side blocking the entrance to the living room.  The mattresses, clothes, furniture, school supplies, electronics, and invaluable items were all destroyed by the contaminated flood waters that left behind only a muddy mess. My Sister and her four kids are all sharing my Mom’s two bedroom apartment until repairs are made. My niece celebrated her 13th birthday on Monday September 6th without any of her belongings and art work all destroyed from the flood waters. Please help my family regain some normalcy after such a disaster. Thank you and God Bless
