Ginger’s Heart Surgery
Donation protected
Ginger is a sweet and fun 1yr old Australian Shepherd who has a fatal heart defect. Recently, she went through a heart surgery in an attempt to fix the defect, but the surgeon had to abort due to an adjacent bleed. Her defect still remains unfixed and her situation is extremely time-sensitive.
Her next, and only, option to fix the defect before heart failure sets in is to have a PDA occlusion procedure preformed. Texas A&M has accepted her case and given us an estimate of $5500. This does not include overnight stay, meds, and pre-op testing costs.
If she is able to have the occlusion procedure done successfully, then she is expected to live her full life expectancy and have little to no heart issues going forward.
She has already had many expensive vet visits and tests to get her to this point, so any amount helps!
Thank you!!!
