Ryan and Brittani Himes Fire Fund

Hi,

For those of you who don't know, my daughter and son-in-law, Ryan and Brittani Himes had a fire in their home tonight. They have 3 kids and were renting the home. The fire was contained to the laundry room and the dining room outside wall, but the house is not liveable at this time.

I know from experience that the stress of losing everything in a fire can be devastating to a family. All food in the house must be thrown out as the poison from the smoke prevents human consumption. Getting the smoke smell out of the clothes and furniture is almost impossible.

Also, Brittani has worked the last few years to build Bird's Caps, her welding cap business. Her embroidery machines were wet when she was able to retrieve them from the house and, right now, we have to assume that most of her supplies are a loss.

I am hoping that our friends and family will rally around to help them both with the supplies they will need and some relief from the financial burden they will have for the next few months.

The next few days will be hard and they have some tough decisions to make. Please respect their privacy and go through either myself, Joe or Bethany for any questions.
