We are reaching out to share with you some difficult news about Ryan Damberger.
Ryan has been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer which has spread to nearby lymph nodes and possibly his liver.
Ryan goes into surgery on Tuesday, Jan 10th, 2023 and following that, he will begin regular chemotherapy treatment for a couple of months. There is no timetable for how soon he will be able to resume a normal life. Truthfully, life as Ryan and his family know it, will never be the same, regardless of the anticipated success of his treatment.
Ryan has been with GRMS for close to 10 years and is in no way just an average employee. He is one of our absolute best people on the ground and more than that, he is a great human being.
We really can’t say enough about the kind of person that Ryan is, the kind of loving husband he is, the amazing father that he is or how hard this new chapter in his young life has affected him over the past few weeks. If you’re receiving this, then you are a close friend, a family member or a highly regarded work associate that we are guessing and hoping would like the opportunity to help in any way that you are able.
Let's do anything and everything within our ability to help Ryan fight through this. We are humbling ourselves today and flat-out asking for help. Not for us, but for Ryan, his wife Chloe and his daughter Ava. We have set up a benefit account at First Security Bank in Bozeman Montana to accept contributions for Ryan and his family as well as this GoFundMe account and we are asking anyone with the means to consider contributing. The size of the contribution is irrelevant. No amount is too small.
Asking people for money is not easy. We all work hard, have bills and have people that depend on us. This is not your problem. Ryan would never consider asking people for help. That’s not the kind of person that he is. That is why we are taking this upon ourselves to reach out and simply say that this man is worth your consideration. Our goal is simple. To completely remove the financial burden of these costly procedures and ongoing medical bills moving forward, Ryan and his family can focus on beating this and getting back to the beautiful life they have created. All funds will go directly to Ryan and his family and applied to the overwhelming cost necessary to get through this.
Thank you for your time and consideration!
