Ryan Daugherty's GoFundMe

On December 31st, Ryan was hospitalized with severe pneumonia and congestive heart failure. The stress of the illness caused Ryan to have a heart attack at 6:30 am that morning. Ryan's doctors worked quickly to stabilize him by putting him on a ventilator to help his heart and other organs recover, which is the state he has been in all week. An extensive infection was discovered throughout Ryan's body causing high fevers (up to 105 degrees). Antibiotics and fluid have been administered to help his body fight off the infection. Ryan's oxygen levels, heart rate, and blood pressure have gradually improved. Ryan has been in intensive care since December 31st and is still very sick.

This is the most difficult thing I have written and it's hard to put into words what Ryan is to our family. I ask that you keep our family in your prayers. Ryan is my best friend and I know he is to every one of you who reads this. If you know Ryan you know that he is the best friend one could ask for, he is loving, funny, and most of all a man who will do any and everything for others. He would never ask for himself and that is what makes this so difficult. With the on-slot of bills from the hospital, I am asking that you support him with whatever you feel. Ryan has a long road ahead physically, emotionally, and unfortunately financially. We ask that you continue to pray for Ryan, that the Lord gives him strength to recover from this illness, and that he speaks into his life that when he wakes he is a new man. I want to thank Kristin Lathrom for never leaving her brother's side through all of this. I want to thank Amy and Derek Daugherty for all of your support for Ryan Daugherty and being with him. Tyler Roberts and Isabelle Daugherty for knowing to take him to the hospital even against his wishes, you saved his life! As well, Andrea Daugherty for supporting our little family so amazingly, and also figuring out how to do a GoFundMe thing...
