Ryan Devona’s Gaga Ball Pit Eagle Scout Project

Hi, my name is Ryan and I’m fundraising to buy the materials to build a Gaga ball pit at Langendorf Park in accordance with the Barrington Park District. This project is the final step towards the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement attainable in the Boy Scouts of America.

Gaga ball is a game played similar to dodgeball. Players in an octagonal ring or “pit” slap-hit the ball with their hands, aiming it at another player’s legs at the knee or below. I was first introduced to the Gaga ball at a Boy Scout camp, so it seems fitting that my Scouting career end with the game.
