Ryan Eugene Sarazen, 20, known as “Ray".

Ryan Eugene Sarazen, 20, known as “Ray” to his family, tragically passed away on Thursday, October 13th, 2022. Ryan was born in Pasadena, TX to his loving parents Gordon Sarazen and Ninfa Gonzalez on November 25th, 2001. He grew up as a military brat, travelled all over abroad and state side, eventually graduated from J. Frank Dobie High School in 2020. He was apart of the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), a proud member of the Longhorn Marching Band, and a talented member of the Jazz Band.

Ryan’s passion of music ignited when he joined band in middle school. He would spend hours learning music theory after high school and eventually teaching himself piano. He would further his passion for music, to music composition, and composed his own signature songs. One way Ryan would show his love for his family and friends was composing music for them. He made numerous soundtracks, ringtones, and sound bites for all those who wanted them.

He loved cooking, making up his own receipts at home, and often broadcast his very unique cooking skills to a group of closest friends. Ryan favorite foods was chicken alfredo, cheeseburgers, pho, you name it he loved it.

Ryan had the biggest giving heart in the world, always thought of others before himself and how to make them happy. He would spend his last dollar with others if he knew that he could make them happy.

His greatest joy in life was spending time with family. He would spend countless hours with his brother goofing off online. Spending days on end with his cousins and countless movie nights with his mother. Ryan was the largest goofball that loved having fun. He would always make the dumbest jokes in any situation and make the silliest faces at every opportunity he could just to see you smile.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Gordon Sarazen and Ninfa Gonzalez; his brother Jonathan Sarazen. He also leaves his grandparents, Luis Gonzalez, Clair Francis Sarazen, and Donna Sarazen. Ryan is also survived by his loving cousins, uncles, aunt, and a host of friends.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sterling-White Funeral Home at 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, Texas 77562. The Visitation and Rosary will be held on the 19th of October 2022. Visitation will be at 5 pm to 8 pm and the Rosary will be at 7:30 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on the 20th of October 2022 at 1 pm.
