Ryan McClelland's final expenses

Hello, my name is Shellie. My brother, Ryan, died suddenly in May, at 40 years of age. Obviously, our family was not prepared for this, so in addition to our profound grief and sadness, we also had to deal with the uncertainty of how to financially take care of the final expenses. Ryan had a life insurance policy, and after his passing, we learned that his ex was the beneficary. She offered to contribute $3,000 to his memorial service once she received the money from his life insurance. Unfortunately, she sent half of that and is now saying she won't be sending more. Our family is pulling together to pay for the rest, but we weren't expecting this additional $1,500 deficit. And time is of the essence.
