Ryan Palmer Creutzfeldt-Jakob battle

Hi, my name is Wendy. My husband Ryan suffered a trauma to his head that revealed a severe neurological disorder. On August 2nd we received the results of long-awaited neurological tests and it was revealed that Ryan suffers from Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, a fatal condition. Ryan is 48 years old and a dedicated Firefighter for US Forestry Service (private contract). While on duty, a falling tree struck him in the back of the head. This injury caused trauma which then revealed the CJD condition. Ryan needs 24-hour care for the rest of his life. He requires help with all simple day-to-day tasks and supervision at all times. Needless to say, his failing health requires expensive care the family was not prepared for. We are putting all our resources together to fund Ryan's day-to-day care, but we need your help and support. Any amount is helpful and greatly appreciated and will be put towards providing the necessary care for Ryan to carry on a comfortable and dignified life in our new reality.  UPDATE: RYAN JON PALMER died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on 09/23/23.  Thank you all for the love, support and kind words that has helped us during this battle.  Ryan rests in paradise now.
