Ryan Rogers Memorial Courts
Ryan Rogers loved the game of basketball, and he matured into a person dedicated to effecting positive change in the lives of people he came in contact with each and every day.
The countless hours he spent on The Huston Courts were about so much more than hoops. Ryan's time at the courts was about bringing a wide variety of people together to cultivate friendships in healthy and friendly competition.
With the Falmouth Town Council voting unanimously to dedicate these courts as The Ryan Rogers Memorial courts, the Rogers family is moving forward with renovations and vision for the future. In addition to the court dedication in Ryan's memory, the immediate planned upgrades include:
- Paint and re-stripe the courts
- Repair the broken basket
- Replace worn nets,
- Install 2 new hoops length-wise to provide something closer to a full court option.
- Additional projects, including fencing and lighting, will be considered
All projects will be reviewed and approved by the town prior to any renovations beginning.
Our ongoing vision is to host annual events that foster a sense of community and ideally raise additional funds to ensure these courts remain in pristine condition.
As renovations complete and as part of the ongoing community engagement, the goal is to host 3-on-3 tournaments, foul shooting and three point competitions, as well as basketball clinics.
We are incredibly excited to see all of this come to fruition, to create a space that the town of Falmouth can be truly proud of.
All funds raised through this FYBA GoFundMe will be designated for the Ryan Rogers Memorial Court Renovations. Falmouth Youth Basketball Association (TIN 04-3355913) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit and your donation is tax-deductible.
