The Third Annual Ryan Salter Horseman’s Scholarship Fund

The loss of a beloved child is a parent’s worst nightmare. As time passes, it becomes essential to that parent and those closest friends to ensure that child’s memory is preserved. To this end, Cheryl Salter and Patsy Arnaud would like to ask for your participation in the fundraiser for the Third Annual Ryan Salter Horseman’s Scholarship Fund.

Ryan Salter was an exceptional young man who sadly passed away at the age of 32. Ryan served in the U.S. Army, enjoyed the outdoors and excelled at his job. Ryan loved being with his family, his cowboy church group, and his horses. He learned about horses at an early age while spending time with his grandfather, Shelby Salter.

Ryan believed reaching for his dreams made life worth living…this award is intended to help another person reach for their dream to benefit the animals they will care for as professionals.

In years past, this scholarship has benefitted:

- Disabled veterans through the Mississippi Quarter Horse Association’s Dixie Challenge.
-Mississippi Quarter Horse Youth Association
-America’s VetDogs: Service dogs for disabled Veterans and First Responders
-Livingston Horse Association
-deserving individuals who are training for careers in Animal Sciences

Cheryl and Patsy appreciate any and all donations to this effort and pledge to use this money to help horsemen and disabled veterans.
