Ryan Schaffer's Recovery & Return to Work

Hello, thank you for taking the time to read and consider this fundraiser.

As you may know, I have been out of work since August 2021 due to various significant health and wellness reasons. I have been using this time to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

I am overwhelmed with appreciation for the support of my community during this time, specifically the support offered by both Parish communities, my care team, and my friends throughout this journey. It is heartwarming to see continued involvement in our Parish communities and Music ministries and to receive your cards, gifts, prayers, and messages of support.

Medically, it has been a long road and progress has been made in several areas. However, there have been new and significant health-related setbacks that have delayed my return and are now impacting me financially. I have exhausted my savings, vacation pay, and my disability insurance coverage ended on March 6.

The specific purpose of this fundraiser is to help pay for my 1) Medical Insurance premiums, 2) Co-pays & past due medical bills, and 3) Living expenses.

Thank you for your consideration and for your past and future support - I am truly blessed and look forward to my full, healthy return.
