Ryan & The Latham Family
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Brielle, and I am so happy you're here. I want to talk to you about my best friend - Ryan. He was a beautiful human being, and everyone that knew him loved him. He was, and always will be, a truly special person. He was surrounded by love, and now we will forever miss the love he warmly returned. Ryan's journey came to an end on April 21st, 2021 when he lost his battle to addiction.
After spending a beautiful afternoon with the Latham Family, we talked about what comes next. What can we do? Ryan's mother Laurie, father Geoff, and sister Megan, all agreed that they want to make sure that they touch lives with Ryan's story, and help bring change. They want to raise awareness on the disease that is addiction, and bring light to the matter without it being a taboo subject. That it can become a word that doesn't need to be ridden with shame.
The money raised through this gofundme will go towards early education on addiction in public schools, resources for those without the access to rehab, and dual diagnosis research and treatment. Eventually, a foundation in Ryan's name will be in the works to continue on reaching and saving others, to continue talking about and normalizing addiction education, to teach about the signs, and to continue Ryan's legacy here on earth.
We couldn't save Ryan, but that doesn't mean we can't save others. I ask that if you can't donate, please share it with everyone. Let's reach as many people as we can. Let's inspire everyone. Let's keep his memory alive, educate, and continue to lead with love. Thank you so much for reading.
We love you, Ryan. xo
