Rebuilding Ryders Toolkit

Donation protected

Last night some cold-hearted SOB broke into Ryder's car and stole all of his personal belongings.

While some of the stolen items were sentimental things that can never be replaced, the bulk of stolen items were Ryder's coveted work tools.

His journey began two years ago, purchasing bit by bit the excessive (and expensive!) items necessary to begin his career as an electrician. He has invested nearly his entire savings cultivating the tools required to find an apprenticeship and train as an aspiring electrician, with hopes of acquiring the skills necessary to become a journeyman of the trade. One day he even hopes to garner the skills necessary to develop and install his own electrotechnical systems, bringing cheap clean energy to underdeveloped communities around the world.

It's taken him two years, but he had finally acquired the necessary tools and apprenticeship to make his dream come true.

Well... Last night that dream was crushed. Some 2bit criminal with a hard-on for expensive metal and breaking hearts is somewhere out in this cruel absurd world peddling away Ryder's hard-earned tools.

To Ryder, these tools were not just scraps of metal forged together to push nails into boards - they were his livelihood, his sanity, his whole heart. It is (probably) no exaggeration to say that these tools mean more to Ryder than his own flesh and blood. Today, you have the chance to prove that this world is not always as cruel as it sometimes seems. Every little bit helps.

Every electrician knows that your tool bag is your lifeline. For months, sometimes years, every paycheck goes back into growing your toolkit - now Ryder needs your help to grow it all again from the ground up. He needs to replace these items immediately to keep his job and his sense of self afloat. Please donate anything you can. Below is a list of specified items, and the cost to replace most of what was lost. Collectively, a little bit will go a long way in lifting the spirits and the financial stress of one of the most giving and kindhearted souls I have ever met.

Thanks ahead of time for all your help!
