Ryder's Ray of Sunshine
Donation protected
Ryder Knechtle is a happy and active 3 year old who adores his two older brothers, loves superheros, playing in his creek, and being chased by his new puppy Sadie Mae. He is cherished by his parents Jenna and Toby and is loved by all who know him. On most days, you will find Ryder happily dressed as Captain America saving the world from bad guys.
This week the Knechtle Family received news that no family should ever have to hear. After noticing some changes in Ryder's vision, it has been discovered that he has a brain tumor located on his brain stem. Sadly, this cancerous tumor is terminal and Ryder's family will be focused on enjoying each day with their little ray of sunshine. Ryder's family is hopeful that they will be able to have months to a year to continue to spend time with Ryder as they battle the worst bad guy of all.
We have set up this fund to provide them with the financial security they will need in the days and weeks to come. It will allow them the flexibility to take time away from work when needed to care for Ryder. In addition, it will assist with any uncovered medical expenses, should they arise.
Please be mindful that Ryder's brothers do not know the full extent of Ryder's illness. The Knechtle's would like to allow the boys the freedom to enjoy their summer with their little brother, since as of now his only symptoms are minor changes in vision. Please be respectful of this decision. We ask if you are able to please be a superhero to Ryder and donate any amount that you can to help his family prepare for the unknown that lies ahead.
Our sincerest thanks,
Nancy Snyder and Stacy McGregor
