Help our babies back to safety

While we were out of town surprising family in Ohio, our house in Colorado was broken into. Our guns were stolen, ammo, our kids money that we were saving for them over $500, xbox, controllers, games, laptop, savings bonds, gold coins.. You name it.. They most likely stole it. This move was supposed to be good for us and our family. I no longer feel safe in my home protecting my babies while my husband is off working overnights, I lost my job due to health issues on the rise again, so taking OUR things couldn't have come at a worse time. Cautionary tale- ALWAYS get renters insurance. Long story short, We feel so violated.. We just want our kids to feel safe. I want to move back to Ohio where we have family to help look out for us and us for them. My kids deserve to feel safe where we live. This has left us feeling very vulnerable and like you all know, we wouldn't ask if it wasn't desperate. We need to be with family..I understand it is our fault for moving, but it was supposed to be a better move financially and for our family, but clearly it wasn't.
