Skin Surgery After Weight loss

It comes with great humility to be reaching out to friends and family to help me get to my next step in my weight loss journey. A little less than a year ago, I started on a journey that would forever change my life. From as far back as I can remember, I have always been obese. Even with being active in sports most of my adolescent life, poor diet and metabolism kept me from being a normal weight. Always pushing the scale over 200 pounds even at the age of 13. After high school it spiraled out of control and though I never saw the scale reach over 300, I knew that at one point of my life I was well over 300lbs. As someone that overweight, you think diet and exercise is never going to work, or it's going to take too long. You always want the "quick fix." So the repeated yo-yo dieting took affect. Name it, I've tried it. But last year I had had enough. I knew the only way to make a change and to keep the weight off would be to eat well and work out. So I hired a personal trainer to help me with the process, and have now lost 90lbs. With gaining so much weight and pushing 300lbs, crash diets that would only last for the time you were doing it. The back and forth weight loss and weight gain has put a toll on my skin. I have met with a doctor for skin removal surgery, hoping that my insurance would cover it. Unfortunately, in this day in age, any sort of "tummy tuck" or reconstructive surgery is considered cosmetic, and insurance will not cover the expenses. So like I said before; it comes with great humility to be asking all of you to help me get this procedure. I have come too far to let my skin get in the way of reaching my ultimate goal. I am not asking for the total cost of the procedures. But anything will help! If I raise the money I raise the money. If not... "where there is a will, there is a way!" I will always be forever grateful to all who have supported me through this entire process. Thank you all so much.
