S has a severe post-viral illness.

Sophie is a 15 year old who contracted Covid developed a severe post viral illness.

Sophie now gets her fluids only through a PICC line, is tube fed, and needs other medical procedures daily to stay alive. She is being discharged from hospital to be cared for at home. Her Mother needs to provide 24 hour a day care which includes many medical procedures. The equipment costs are substantial! Sophie pulled through a recent Septic infection after her operation to place her tube for feeding.

Sophie is in constant and severe pain and has vomited for 20 months (up to 40 times a day). She has lost 25kgs and been tube fed the whole time.

She can’t stand or wash herself independently, she hasn’t been able to do school or really anything. Her life stopped and is now just a life revolving around hospitals, doctors, and being bedbound.

The family even had to leave their rental due to contamination with mould. It just feels a never-ending amount of dog poo being piled on them.

Please please consider giving what you can to help them search for support and answers for this Teen who lost almost all quality of life after this awful virus.

I would love them to have money to pay down credit cards, employ some help, pay to see more private medical teams etc.

$5000 to hire some in-home help, and support because Sophie has not been accepted into any NDIS or in-home care help programs.
