Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity
Donation protected
In May I am throwing myself out of a plane to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity!
Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH) is an organisation close to my heart as this extraordinary hospital provided me with life-saving treatment. I am hoping to raise £500 as the hospital has always depended on charitable support to give critically ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential.
My Story
GOSH was practically my home for the first three years of my life. I was born with Tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF), an abnormal connection between the oesophagus and the windpipe (trachea). This condition prevented me from swallowing normally and allowed stomach acid to get into the lungs. Most children with this condition end up with eating and developmental difficulties, but due to the exceptional care and world-class surgery provided by GOSH, I am fit and healthy.
Where does your donation go?
To Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), one of the world’s leading children's hospitals.
What does GOSH do?
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) supports over 750 seriously ill children and young people from across the UK every day. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. Read more here: GOSH
Even a small donation makes a big difference!
- A single charity donation of £10 could help GOSH pay for specialist equipment used on tiny babies
- £20 could help GOSH build new wards and facilities for seriously ill children
- £50 could pay for a parent to stay overnight in GOSH family accommodation unit while their child is at GOSH
- £100 could cover the costs of one of GOSH’s play team for a whole day.
Thank you for reading about my fundraiser. Any amount you can contribute to this incredible cause will make a difference!
