Dear Family and Friends of the Redwines,
On June 18, 2022, Philip Redwine, Jr. died a hero after a tragic drowning accident and in doing so saved the life of their five-year-old son.

During Philip's funeral, Philip's dear friend Steve eloquently detailed all of the ways that Philip gave to others, loved others and loved his family and friends. He told us all that if Philip had ever said a kind thing to us or did a kind thing for us, it is our job to pay it forward to Rebecca and the boys in the coming years. This fundraiser aims to be one outlet for all of us to do just that.
Over the next days, weeks and months, Rebecca, Finch and Whitford will learn to move through life without Philip, a long and impossible road that we pray is anchored somewhere between joy and sorrow. The goal of this fundraiser is to give them time and space to grieve, process and heal by providing funding for a meal delivery service, laundry service, cleaning, lawn maintenance and grocery delivery. It will not fill his chair, but it will give them a little more time to love one another as they gather around the tables that Philip built "true enough to stand forever."
Reverend Lisa Yebuah reminded us that the trajectory and the arc of Philip's life was glorious and that as our lives intersected with Philip's, they intersected with his love. She read Colossians 3:12 and told us to go forward clothed in love, just as Philip did.
You can view the beautiful funeral service here.
Philip fiercely loved his friends and his family members, and that is worthy of giving thanks.
As a means of giving thanks for Philip's life and loving his family as he did, please consider donating generously to support the Redwine Family as they grieve Philip's death.
If you feel more comfortable sending a paper check, an account has been established for the direct benefit and use of Rebecca and her boys: Edward Jones, 300 Health Park Drive, Suite 112, Garner, NC 27529.
And no matter how you choose to give, please keep the Redwines in your prayers.
Clothed in Love,
Philip's Family and Friends
