Tax deductible
Hayden is a dog that was rescued by Philly Bully Team in early February of 2023. He had been living in an abandoned back yard for weeks. When he came into our care, we discovered that he was covered in multiple deep bite wounds all around his neck We immediately got Hayden medical care.
An alleged owner has come forward to claim Hayden. Due to the nature of Haydens injuries, the lack of veterinary records that this person has, as well as the conditions in which the owner admittedly kept Hayden in, we did not feel that this was a safe environment to place Hayden in. We then refused to give Hayden to the alleged owner.
Since then, we have been on the receiving end of harassment, threats to our home, our bodies and slander, which could affect our ability to help more dogs like Hayden in the future and threatens the safety of the 75+ dogs currently in our care.
We have decided to obtain legal counsel to preserve the integrity of our rescue, and most importantly, to keep Hayden safely in the care of the rescue.
The retainer for the attorney is $2,500. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to cover additional expenses that may arise. If we do not end up utilizing the extra $2,500 on attorney fees, it will go towards the medical care of the other dogs in our rescue.
