GABE'S MISSION

Back in 2008 I was shot in the neck which left me paralyzed from the neck down and dependent on a ventilator to breathe. Back then I thought my life was over, I thought I would never have a good quality of life, I thought all happiness was out the window. But as time passed  I slowly slowly starting to get better it wasn't an easy process but it had to be done. I realized that just because my body was paralyzed it didn’t mean that i couldn’t have a good quality of life. Over the years i’ve been speaking to high school and college students and different types of patients in the hospital helping them get through some of their hard times. So now my  new mission in life is to empower people with injuries and to show them that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel no matter how dark it is. I also want to motivate more people to share their story to turn something good out of something bad .Well after 11 years I am finally transitioning back into the community so now i’m trying to raise enough money to purchase a specialized vehicle to transport me to different locations to do things like motivational speaking, doctors appointments and every day life activities . I want to go to different  schools ,hospitals and even have events where any and everybody can come and hear me speak..I want to help people even if they don't have physical injuries my story can help people going through emotional problems as well. Another thing i want to do is attend college in person and take classes for social worker or counseling.I would also love to showcase my artwork that I make by using my mouth because I don’t have the use of my arms to show people that anything is possible if you put your heart into it.So please what ever you contribute to me reaching my goals it will be gratefully appreciated thank you so much.
