My name is Helda Tale, an 18-year-old girl from Palestine, Gaza. I am now in America pursuing education after getting a 100% scholarship.

I am fundraising for my family, and for my sister’s future, to catch up with the remains of their dreams. We fully lost everything in this war (homes, jobs, souls, future, loved ones)

This war damaged our lives as humans. My house was bombed on the third day of this war on October 10th. My parents’ clinic was bombed and our farm was scrapped, there is nothing in it except for the tents that random people are living in now.

My dad is a surgeon, my mom is a family doctor, my two older sisters are in medical school but not anymore. My family now is in Egypt but my parents are not allowed to work because they are missing their papers and proof that they are doctors. After all, it got bombed with our house. If my parents work illegally, as they are doing now, they get paid very low which doesn’t even cover the renting of a small house. Here in America, I am working 3 jobs to send my family money and I am trying my best to provide them with their daily expenses but still not enough. I am tired but I can’t stop.

Both of my sisters are in the medical field. My oldest sister; is a 4th year student and my second sister is a first-year student. But they don’t go to college anymore because my parents’ financial status is not helping at all. They lost their future. And now winter is coming. Being cold is not fun; I tried it last year and I don’t want them to try it again this year.

Try to help. My family and I would appreciate it. Every single help makes a difference trust me! Just a little help until we can do it on our own! We thought the war would take two more weeks or months at the most but here it is over a year now.

This is my house after it got bombed!

We couldn't save anything with us! we were told to evacuate at 4:45a am and the bombing was at 5:00 am. We didn't want to evacuate and leave our house; it was death everywhere, and let's die with our house's rubble. but then we had to leave because my younger siblings were very scared and while running and rushing away from my house, it was bombed. I saw my house getting bombed with my own eyes! And still, we couldn't go back and get anything from under the rubble.
