Juan's Funeral Service

Hi my name is Cindy, Juan Blanco is my father. My dad was everything to me, I wouldn't be the person I am if it wasn't for him. He was never the serious type, in fact there was never a dull moment with him. He would brighten any room with his kindred spirit and joyous smile. My dad would always be the one to break the ice in the room with a joke. He can make up a joke on the spot for any given moment. If you ever met my older brother Brian, you can see how my brother Brian emulates that energy.
My mom and dad have been together for 35 years and he has been her rock. My mom, who never learned how to drive, so she would depend on my dad for grocery shopping, attending church or do what my mom always loved doing, buying plants (her babies).
My dad was very careful with Covid, he took his precautions, but always looked out for my mom first. Ultimately, he contracted Covid and had to go the hospital. He was on the ventilator for about a week when we were received a call that his blood pressure was dropping to the point where he was going to pass away at any moment. We came in, my brother and mother to say our goodbyes, but because of the pandemic, they only allowed 2 people in. My brother made the choice to let me and my mother in say goodbye, even though I could tell it hurt him that he wasn't allowed to hold his dads hand and say his peace. We had to facetime for my brother to say his goodbye. The doctors were so certain he was going to pass because of his multiple organ failures and blood pressure dropping so low. By some miracle, he survived the night and our hope rekindled again. We were on a day by day phone call basis with the doctors to see if he was bound for recovery, but that they couldn't tell with this virus. My dad fought for hard for the next 12 days, until the time came. We had to say our goodbyes for the second time and what hurts the most was that we were not allowed to visit him during any time because of the pandemic. My brother said he couldn't do this twice and I understood what he meant.
The funds will help us with the funeral arrangements. We would need the funds for Sunday, December 13th. We are grateful for any donations, but I will be in charge of the final expenses.
