My Name is Liz Lopez mother of Summer Liz Marquez Lopez.

On January 1st 2016 at 5:10 AM Summer Liz Marquez Lopez an 18 year old amazing young lady had a car accident while driving to her home in Dorado, PR. She has extreme brain injury and is currently at the hospital in a coma.

She is loved and admired by many. She is a life lover, determined, talented, loving daughter and friend...she loves to sing, surf, study and work her butt off; she is headstrong and a go-getter. Now she is fighting to get all that she loves back.

We are raising money to provide her with the therapies that she will need that we were already told her insurance does not cover, diapers and her everyday needs, special accommodations within the home, car accommodations, and all equipment that might not be covered by the insurance, nurse help etc... her therapies alone come at a very high cost.

Since her accident, many things have evolved, and Summer has continued to progress all because of the continued help from all of you for her to get her therapies and needs. Also, we started doing triathlons! yes! even though Summer is still like a 1-2 yo child, she is stable enough for me to pull her on the swim, pull her on the bike and push her on the run! This was a dream of hers before the accident, I promised her that if she pulled through, I would do events with her as she wanted, and we are doing them finally! We started doing events on 2021 with a mission in our hearts! By doing the races, we will spread awareness of driving safely, saving lives and avoiding tragedy. With your help, we can continue the dream, the mission.
