Hello my name is Ashley

Hello, my name is Ashley. I am a soon-to-be mother of three. I am currently seven months pregnant. My family and I have fallen on hard times over the past few years. A lot of things have happened, from my youngest son’s father being murdered while I was six months pregnant to me being diagnosed with cervical cancer and having COVID at the same time. I managed to overcome all three of those challenges, and in 2022, I met my husband, whom I married on July 17, 2023. I thought life was moving in a great direction up until a few days ago when he was deported back to China, leaving me with soon-to-be three children and no way to pay the bills in our apartment, as I am on leave from work.

I had to take a leave from work due to my pregnancy. I work at an Amazon warehouse, where I injured my back and was placed on leave. Amazon has not paid me anything for being on leave, even though they said they would, considering I got injured in their building. With my husband not being in the house and me being pregnant, as well as public assistance denying me healthcare and food stamps because they stated I made too much at Amazon, I am left in a position where I need to beg for help. If I am unable to keep a roof over myself and my children’s heads for the next couple of months, I don’t know where I will be during the time I give birth. I am unsure if Amazon will approve my leave of absence or if they will pay me at all.

I am looking for an alternative option, such as moving into a trailer home, which leads me to this GoFundMe. I am seeking to raise enough money to cover the next two months in this apartment until I give birth, as well as to afford a trailer home to move into afterward so that the bills will be cheaper. I don’t know what else to do, and many people have suggested creating a GoFundMe. I want everyone to know that it is extremely embarrassing for me to ask for help given all that my family and I have been through in the past few years. I have never asked for help before, but at this point in my life, I need the support of those around me because I cannot do this alone. If you cannot donate, I would appreciate it if you could share this. I never thought I would be on the opposite end, needing to ask for donations from strangers, but here I am. Life is very unexpected, and I hope that no one ever has to go through what I’m going through with my children. I have always had a job and worked hard, even when my son’s father died.
