Penny rose
Donation protected
Over the last three years Penny Rose as had ended various hospital appointments and seen a number of specialists at Sheffields Children’s Hospital, where she was initially diagnosed with having the condition Pancytopenia predominantly thrombocytopenia. Penny had to go for genetic testing and due to Covid the results were delayed therefore, Penny’s Specialist took it upon her own hands to give Penny a Bone Marrow aspirate and trephine biopsy which showed evidence of Bone marrow Failure.
After 16 long months Penny’s genetic test results finally came back showing the final diagnoses of having a rare genetic condition called Congenital Amegakaryocytic Thrombocytopenia, subsequently meaning that Penny would need to receive a Stem Cell, Bone Marrow Transplant as this is the only option there is to make Penny better and hopefully allowing her to live like a normal five year old.
Three months after her last diagnosis Jodie her mum received a telephone call verifying that there was a possible donor match. Penny and her family have a long agonising journey a head of them. Penny will spend time in hospital and have to endure a course of Chemotherapy where she will unfortunately loose all of her gorgeous, golden lacks. Penny will then have to go through a long recovery process.
Therefore her family and dear friends are all working together helping and supporting both Penny herself and her immediate family, by raising as much funds as humanly possible. Ensuring they do not struggle financially during this long, devastating process. As their journey will be not just be a challenging one but, due to Penny’s condition, the whole process will also be a long agonising one. This beautiful little girl will need to be brave and fight throughout all her treatments.
Penny and her immediate family are already under a great deal of stress and on an emotional rollercoaster as you can imagine and certainly don’t need the added burden of financial loss, due to lack of earnings. As you can imagine Jodie wishes to be by her side every step of the way. This means taking time away from Phoebe, Penny’s sister. This will be a difficult for all involved.
Penny as taken everything in her stride and as been such a little inspiration and incredibly brave throughout and know matter what she will keep Therefore we kindly need your help to ensure this isn’t the case and they stay positive throughout a devastating time.
