Nin's IDEO Brace Fund in Washington

Hi,
My name is Nicole Hanson. My friends and family know me as "Nin" or even "Nin Compoop" :P I am25 years old. I was born with bilateral club feet. They were turned in so bad, the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN told my parents my case was the worst they had ever seen. They even asked them if they could keep my records for future education purposes. I had a series of surgeries when I was young, from the ages of 10 months up to 4 years and then later at 21 years old, after my kneecaps had repeately popped out of place. I have super small kneecaps, and barely any groove behind them for it to latch onto. This is why I also have trouble running, jumping, or doing any sport activity. I have no big toe...and i basically walk on the sides of my feet. I ended up having to have a surgery on my left kneecap, Nov 30th, 2012, to stop it from falling out of place. I had cadaver put in and they had to twist my kneecap a certain way to get it to fall just right when i bent it.
I always told myself that by 25 yrs old I would have a double amputation and just get prosthetics. I started to have arthritis at a very young age(16 I think it started) and it has been very painful since then. Because of the pain, I went to 3 different doctors this year; 2 at Valley Bone and Joint in Grand Forks, ND and 1 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. They all say they'd rather do reconstructive surgeries on both of my feet, but that my recovery time would be at least 3 years to walk comfortably again and even so, my arthritis would probably come back. I just wanted amputations. I didn't want to deal with anymore surgeries.
I have talked to many people on Facebook, in a group for Clubbies (people with club feet), that have had this IDEO Brace, and they say it's completely changed their world, in a good way! They can run again, jump, do sports, pretty much anything with NO PAIN!! I would rather try this IDEO brace than a bunch of surgeries and waste my life away, not knowing what it's like to ski, play volleyball again, rollerblade, ice skate, etc. I really feel like this could change my life. The problem is is that the Hanger Clinic does not accept Out of State insurance. This is where my friends and family come in! (Hopefully!)
Each brace costs $9000! This amount includes the evaluation, casting, fabrication and fitting of the test device and completed finalized device, functional training, and adjustments as necessary. I'm also asking for help for traveling expenses to WA. Any help would be much appreciated! The sooner I get the funds, the sooner I get the braces, and the sooner my life changes!! I love you all and I appreciate it!
