Fire in Goodeve Destroys Home 
Steven & Petrunia Olson lost their home to fire in September. Steven has helped many people locally with their computer problems. He always shows up as soon as he can, with a smile on his face and charges little.
The funds raised here will help them get back on their feet again. Donations may also be made at Cornerstone Credit Union in Ituna, SK where an account has been set up or left at Hillier Agencies in Ituna.
If it wasn’t for bad luck Steven and Petrunia would have no luck at all. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but it is not the only tragedy they have faced. They were living in their old house in Goodeve while trying to build a new timber-framed house in the same community, working at it slowly and trying to pay for everything as they go. A few years ago they put down a large deposit on a timber order from a company in Pincher Creek. They paid I believe in excess of $15,000.00 only to have the company go out of business right after taking their money. This didn’t deter them, they got up, dusted themselves off, saved up and put another deposit down for their timbers the next year.
Then the next thing, Petrunia ran into some serious health issues which I will not go into; and last but not least their house burns down. They are a hard working couple that ask nothing of anyone. I believe they deserve a helping hand and hope that people will contribute toward a fund that we have set up. The insurance that they have on the old house that burnt is still being assessed. It requires that they build on their old site, which is a 50ft lot. It is not practical to build there and we are not sure what is going to happen with that situation.
In the mean time we have started this fund raiser and hope that you will contribute. I have seen fund raisers raise insane money for dogs and cats. Here we have a chance to help two wonderful people who truly deserve a boost.
