Evie The Super Tubie

Donation protected
At the age of 3, Evie was diagnosed with Failure To Thrive.  Failure To Thrive in childhood is a state of undernutrition due to inadequate caloric absorption or excessive caloric expenditure.  Since birth, Evie has been bounced from specialist to specialist looking for answers. Evie visited pediatric gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, and nutritionists in Helena, MT as well as Seattle Children’s Hospital in Washington. In January, 2019 Evie received an endoscopy as well as a feeding tube that went in through her nose and down into her stomach.

Recently, Evie had surgery to place a feeding tube that goes directly into her stomach. While the new feeding tube has provided her with the freedom to do simple things like buckle herself in the car and not having to carry her backpack everywhere, Evie will need to continue to receive care at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

We don’t have any answers yet, but travel and medical expenses are overwhelming our family, forcing us to choose between medical bills and mortgage payments. As we attempt to receive the best care and treatment for Evie, we humbly ask you for support.
