- Hi, I'm Julie & have lived in Shipton Close not far off 30 years. Due to a recent event, and the sad passing of Paddy, a local and well know resident, I realised that we do not have a community defibrillator. I am aware that there are defibrillators located in Sainsburys, Asda , schools and doctors but none of these are within running distance and time can be of the essence. There is also a reluctance to them being taken off the premises . When my daughter moved to the new Bloor estate she realise the same thing & by donations now has a community defib on her garage wall that eveyone has access to. If you are local to Great Sankey/WA5 and would like to support this please donate whatever you can. You could be helping to save a life.
