My name is Lama. I live in Gaza. My family and I were subjected to Israeli bombing in the October 7 War. Our house was completely destroyed. We narrowly escaped death. We survived the bombing and destruction. My three little sisters, Alma, Canada, and Kenaz, had their hearts filled with fear and terror

Our story, is all too common in Gaza. Over the past nine months, we have faced constant bombings and have been displaced at least four times. We have lost our source of income, and more painfully, we have lost friends and loved ones. Fear and worry for the future permeate every second of our lives.

Despite the frequency of such hardships in Gaza, it never becomes any less heartbreaking watching the place where you have poured your heart and soul into creating a safe and loving environment for your family be destroyed Even in these dark times, strive to find hope. We believe that a better future is possible, even when the world around us seems to be falling apart. The pain and suffering we endure cannot be described in words, and it is a burden that I hope my little sisters will never have to bear. Every day, I witness innocence slowly disappear from our faces and it breaks my heart. We deserve a childhood free of fear and trauma, a life where we can dream and grow without fear. That's why I try to find them a place where they can experience the peace and stability that every child deserves.
