Ghost Town Winter Recovery

Hello Everybody! For those we don't personally know, My name is Karen, owner of Gunslinger Gulch.

We are finding ourselves in a situation where we need your help. We know that many people are traveling less and booking a stay with us may not be a possibility...but we are hoping you can help us out in anyway possible with this fundraiser and share with everyone you know.

We purchased this amazing property in 2019 with the idea of creating a unique lodging experience, community event venue as well as a film location.

Little did we know we would be faced with pandemic, politics, economy.....all of which have created a chaotic and very challenging situation for everyone! Timing for investing in such a big project was definitely not on our side.

Throughout all we have been thru the last few years we have managed to hold our own and achieve some incredible accomplishments....hosting many overnight guests, celebrating anniversaries, birthdays, hosting events, and days of fun and adventure with people from all over.

Despite all we have accomplished, we have been fighting the last few years of challenges and setbacks. Year after year we have countless repairs necessary to keep our doors open and insane increases in basic operating expenses.

Today as we face a very uncertain economy, a very long Winter, a slow season on the books and several major repairs/expenses staring us down we find ourselves needing your help to keep this location going.

Asking for help has never been easy for me. This gofundme is being created to help us recover from the unexpected repairs we are dealing with from this winter as a result of busted water lines and hot water tanks and help us get thru this last hurdle of (not so) basic expenses. We have been battling extreme power bills despite everything being shut off all winter and need to hire an electrician to pinpoint where the excessive draw/usage is coming from.

So far we have replaced several water lines that were of immediate attention. We still are in need of replacing 1 hot water tank, repairing a floor damaged by broken water line and assistance with outrageous power bill before we end up losing power. This is just a portion of what we are facing. On top of trying to just make our mortgage payment at this time.

Every thing I have and then some has gone in to this property. Losing it is the last thing my kids and I want to face.
