The Gooz Project: MS Fundraiser

My name is Ray Goosby.  Since I was a child my mother has always suffered from physical disabilities.  She fought through them one after the other.  Most of her issues were linked to a tragic automobile accident.  She lost her mother in the accident, and horribly injured herself.   They pieced my mother back together with plates and screws and other pieces of hardware.  She never really fully recovered and has long suffered from pain and arthritis and knee replacement and other surgeries.

However, she never slowed down being the best mom a kid could have.  Always there supporting us, all the while her physical health began to steadily decline.  Finally, after surgeries and medications she was told to see a neurologist.  About four years ago she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  As she began maintenance treatments for the disease we learned that this whole time, many of her problems could be linked to the disease and may have been avoided with earlier detection.

Millions of people have lived this story.  For some the story isn't so grim as they were diagnosed early before the disease took hold of their lives.  In most cases, people with the disease can live long and fulfilling lives.  For those who were diagnosed too late, they lose mobility and freedom fast and fight heavy battles with pain, numbness, fatigue, infections, and even depression just to name a few.

This is why we need to contimue to support efforts in finding newer maintenance treatments and for those like my mother, earlier detection.  The National MS Society is helping the cause and funding the research to do just that.

As an avid paranormal investigator I have been given the challenge to do a solo ghost hunt in a local historical and haunted building, The Bell Nursing Home.  I will be secluded in this haunted space, in the dark for the entire night to explore and experiment, communicate with the past and in some cases fight my fears face to face.

I would not accept this challenge without some kind of meaning.  So I am counter challenging all of my friends, and family, and strangers and kindred paranormal enthusiasts to open their hearts and their wallets and donate to the cause as you watch me, over streaming video on Liveparanormal.com's LiveparanormalTV and the Bell Nursing Homes live feed, face the dark and the lonliness of a haunted building.  And I am sure as I fight fear around every dark corner, you will have plenty to laugh and talk about, as the Gooz reacts to what reaches out to him!

All proceeds from this drive will be donated to the National MS Society.  In 2013, along with my team Dark Alley Paranormal, and my good friend, and event co-founder, Daniel Hooven of the BIO Channel's Haunted Encounters:Face to Face hosted a Paranormal Conference and raised $2,200.00 for The NATIONAL MS Society.  The plan is to hit that number again and beyond, but with your donations.

Thank you,
