SAAAB Store repairs after hurricane Milton flooding
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Kalea and my father owns the SAAAB Store. Many of you might know him as Manjo or Mike the Saab Guy! Unfortunately, during hurricane Milton, the shop flooded badly. It isn't in a flood zone at all and this was just so much more devastating than we could have imagined. Every single car flooded minus the few that were on lifts. Thousands of dollars worth of parts, machinery, and tools were lost along years of hard work and dedication. We are having to completely rip out everything inside and start over. The water rose about 2 feet into the office, even higher in areas outside. It picked up the office refrigerator and moved it 4 feet away from the wall. We had part bins that were too heavy to carry by hand, picked up by the water and tipped over. The wheel balancer and tire machine weren't salvageable, along with the alignment machine heads. It even knocked over our air compressor. I've watched my dad pour his heart and soul into not only the business, but the literal cars he services. His goal has always been to keep these cars on the road, and if you've ever owned a Saab, you can imagine why! He has been trying to clean up and restore production so we can keep servicing Saabs but it is really setting in just how extensive all the repairs will be. Very rarely do I see my dad asking for help, so I am going to ask for him. I know a lot of people lost their entire lives throughout these storms recently so if all you can do is share, we greatly appreciate it. To our Saab community, we love and appreciate y'all and humbly thank you for whatever you're able to contribute to getting my dads shop back up and running properly! I will be passing the reigns over to him so he can update this page with repairs made and manage the account. Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
