Help Fatima support her own and neighbors' children

Donation protected
My name is Katie, from the United States. I am collecting donations for my friend Fatima, who is from northern Gaza, and this is her story. Fatima Rey is 28 years old, married, and the mother of two wonderful children, the beautiful Shahad, six years old, and the spoiled Mohammed, four years old.

Seh says: My children are the light and hope of my life, and their presence every day is priceless. Just a few months ago, their joy, laughter, play, and mischief filled the house, making us forget all the worries and fatigue of our day. We lived in a simple house filled with love and security. But in an instant, everything changed, laughter turned into crying, and safety turned into fear. Due to the brutal war, our house was directly targeted and completely destroyed. We have lost our homeland that we built with hard work and dedication, and we are not finished paying the price for it. We are now homeless and in despair. We only have the clothes we were wearing when the attack happened. We have had to evacuate several times trying to save our lives and the lives of our children, as there is no safe area in Gaza. Our children, Yamen and Nada, feel confused and afraid when they hear the sounds of non-stop bombing and explosions. Their habits have become unnatural, as fear and terror took over their minds. Unfortunately, they lost many things that brought them joy and happiness. They no longer have their favorite toys, pictures, or colorful clothes. They lost all their beautiful memories. In addition, there are missing months of their lives as they cannot continue their education, play, or have fun like other normal children. I always think about what my children will do when they see their favorite things and possessions burned and disappeared in our destroyed home. Unfortunately, we lost our homeland, our dreams, our future, and some relatives and friends. We have lost our strength and stamina, and our bodies are exhausted from living in harsh conditions amidst the lack of basic necessities, repeated displacement, and living in tents.

I created this campaign to rebuild our home and provide basic needs such as food, water, clothing, and baby supplies, as well as the costs of displacement, tents, and exorbitant transportation costs in the face of rising prices.

Displacement costs that unfortunately we cannot afford: • $500 - $1000 for a tent • $450 to rent trucks to transport us from one place to another • $300 for other basic necessities.

Additionally, I will use the funds to provide for basic needs for the children in my area. They always have need of clean water, fresh food, and other very basic supplies. I cannot only provide for my children while ignoring the needs of the others.

Your donations will make a huge difference in our lives and give us hope for a better future. We are grateful for all your support and solidarity. Thank you for your time and attention. We hope that we can overcome this crisis with your help and support. I will provide regular updates on the progress of the rebuilding process and how donations are being used. We want to be transparent with you and show you the real impact.

In the midst of this darkness, the sun of hope shines through your giving and generosity.
