Sabelo Mlaba: Inches away from the finish line!

Greetings again :)!

I am Sabelosethu Mlaba, but I go by Sabelo, and I am presently enrolled full-time at Fresno Pacific University. I am happy to say that I have been living in the States for more than 1 year now! A complete 365+ days spent in this beautiful nation. I have unlocked so many amazing memories and experienced a lot of "fireworks-worthy" moments. With that said, I am still establishing and building necessary connections and relationships in this new place for me! I moved to the States to explore and deepen the understanding of my craft as an Artist, Creator, and Intellectual. I wake up every day and dream about entertaining people with inspiring stories that put a smile on people's faces, by bringing them hope!

For the past year, I was blessed to have received scholarships from the Theatre department, the University choir, and the Water Polo team. Yet despite this, I am still finding myself in a loophole even after the school year has finished. I can happily say that I have made a lot of progress, though. With the generous support of donors like you, I have been able to secure the funds to address my tuition fees for the bulk of the first year. A huge note of Thanks! for your donations so far. I have quite literally narrowed down the debt by a large margin which has brought the debt down to less than $7000. However, my task is not quite complete as I still need to fulfill my duty of paying off the rest of my tuition fees for the full year. I have been able to overcome the possibility of having a terminated VISA and an incomplete school year thanks to your help, and I would relish the opportunity to see another by paying off my dues as required for this year.

I had already begun to address my future tuition through scholarships and other revenue streams that came to me as the year went by. I have found ways, availed to me by the grace of God, to make this situation easier, and even non-existent, for me in the future. All I have to do now is take care of what is in front of me - the present. I NEED YOUR HELP WITH GETTING THAT DONE :)!

I am sooo close to the finish line, yet when I think of facing it by myself, it feels like it's so far away. I know that with your help, this can be something we overcome. I believe this is something that can be done because of the belief and faith that each and every person has had in me so far in this journey. I am, because you are. I humbly ask for your support this last time as I near the end of this dilemma and as I walk into a new, brighter chapter!
