Sabrina Lee Foundation for domestic abuse victims

My daughter was murdered by her ex boyfriend on May 30th 2023. Her name is Sabrina Schnoor. This is a murder that could have been prevented had the courts and prosecutors done their jobs in the past and gotten him off the streets before he killed her. Multiple times his violent offenses were dismissed. I promised my daughter I will make changes in this broken system and I will do all I can to keep this from happening to another girl. 

  Donations will be used to start the Sabrina Lee Foundation. This foundation will be centered around individual needs of domestic abuse victims and keeping them safe. On a case by case basis we will determine what help a woman needs. Self defense classes, security cameras, changed locks, a taser, pepper spray, help moving if necessary, even gun safety courses if she herself decides to get a gun. (No, we will not purchase a gun). This is completely nonprofit. The only money I will use myself will be for gas to travel to these women. If I need to spend the night for some reason that will come from my pocket or I'll sleep in my car. 

  A restraining order is only a piece of paper. It does not keep them safe. Our goal is to help them stay safe after they take steps to help themselves get out of these abusive relationships. 

  We will also continue to work towards making changes in our court, and legal system so violent, habitual offenders are no longer let back out on the streets. That our court system, prosecutors, and judges take the domestic violence charges more seriously.

  Some funds may be used early to help someone in an emergency situation.
