Sabrina Marlynn Lyttle’s Funeral
Donation protected
I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of one of my closest friends, Jade, who has recently lost her mum. Jade has spent a lifetime wondering if this day would come, but nothing can truly prepare you for that devastating phone call or the overwhelming experience she is going through.
Despite the many mistakes Sabrina made in her life, she was a mother, a daughter, a sister, and more. She was a person, a person who was in pain and dealt with that pain as best as she could. Sabrina took pride in knowing her greatest achievements were her two daughters, Jade and Tiarna, whom she adored and tried to get better for.
Just three weeks ago, Jade spoke to her mum, who was determined to get sober again. Sabrina told Jade how much she loved her, and Jade held onto hope that this time things might change. Tragically, Sabrina didn’t get better in time.
Sabrina struggled with addiction throughout her life. She fought hard, but sadly, she lost her battle this week at the young age of forty seven. Although she faced many challenges and made many mistakes during her addiction, Sabrina didn’t deserve to pass away the way she did. She was released from prison on Wednesday without Jades knowledge and sadly passed away in a public bathroom the following day. She fought hard for years but unfortunately her body was tired of fighting.
Jade wants to honour her mum with the compassion and respect that was often missing during her lifetime and give her the funeral she deserves. I am asking for donations to help Jade cover the funeral costs, so she can celebrate her mum’s life without the stress and burden of raising these funds while grieving and taking time off.
Jade also hopes to donate a portion of the funds to Horizon, a drug and alcohol support service that supported Sabrina over the years in her fight against addiction and will be doing a collection for the service at the funeral.
