Sacred Sons Prime Leadership Training

Thriving men are built in community and through brotherhood. The brotherhood within the Sacred Sons foundation has been one of the most transformative spaces I’ve been apart of. If you know the importance of mens work and would like to support me in a unique opportunity to strengthen my ability to facilitate this work in the military please read on.
My name is Asim Asad Ali and I am an active duty military service member in the United States Navy who has been serving in mens circles and holding space with facilitators of mens work for the past several years. Through this work I have been doing I was invited to a Sacred Sons gathering in North Carolina.
Sacred Sons is a powerful organization of men who work tirelessly to create and facilitate safe space for men to heal, while also being embraced by brotherhood. I had the honor of joining Sacred Sons for their Convergence 7: Generations gathering this previous year, and was deeply inspired by the amazing leaps they are making in the field of men's work. At this Convergence gathering, 444 men gathered to take vows and obligations to heal, grow, and show up as leaders, fathers, grandfathers, uncles, sons, brothers, and men in their families, professional environments, and communities. While at this gathering, these men did the necessary healing and growth needed to reflect that commitment.
I was one of those men at this gathering, who was blessed with the opportunity to deeply reflect on my life and grow under the guidance of the Sacred Sons leadership in a very personal and sacred space. I was blessed to find teachers and elders who have been positively influencing and mentoring me on a personal level ever since. This gathering was such a powerful catalyst for change, healing, and growth which has affected every aspect of my life.
Now, I have recently been personally invited to the Sacred Sons Prime Leadership training, which is taking place this year in February at the Timber Moose Lodge in Timber Lakes, Utah. I was personally invited to this gathering by two leaders within the Sacred Sons foundation who have shown their belief in me and my path by constantly being there for me and helping me through my many life lessons and levels of initiation and they have both expressed that they think I am ready for this next step of training in mens work facilitation which includes an online course and in person summit where participants will be diving deep into themselves and learning how to facilitate mens circles within their own diverse communities back home in a psychologically intimate and engaging way.
Through this training, I will not only be equipped with the tools I need to hold space for men back in my own community, but will also be able to function in a leadership role within the Sacred Sons Foundation itself at future gatherings as I continue to help men on their healing journeys just as I have been assisted myself on mine. I know mens work is my calling with an emphasis on facilitating mens circles for veterans and for my brothers in arms who, like me, are active duty military.
Within the military, men often struggle to find safe spaces to express their feelings and emotions, talking about their personal life struggles and integrating past traumas while feeling embraced by a brotherhood that shares the mutual trust of keeping all discussions confidential and holding brothers accountable in healthy ways that encourage both professional and personal growth. Men in the military and our veterans are in dire need of relationships with other men developed on trust, confidentiality, and accountability.
I seek to create those spaces for my shipmates. In order to facilitate these spaces as potently as possible, I aim to continually refine my skills and deepen into my own relational experience. This training guides men even more deeply into their minds and hearts so that they are able to facilitate mens circles in their own communities in a engaging ways modeling healthy thinking, habits, and behavior.
I know the Sacred Sons Prime Leadership Training will give me the tools necessary to facilitate these men's circles for my fellow Sailors in the Navy. Sacred Sons gatherings are such transformative spaces largely due to the facilitating abilities of the Sacred Sons leadership team. I know that being able to learn from these men that have been doing this work for longer than myself will instill with these same abilities as I meet them in deep dedication and commitment. Their example motivates me to create that same type of spaces for my shipmates who need it so much.
However, this training is currently outside of what I can afford as a Seaman in the Navy and this training is in February of 2023 which is quickly approaching in a month. Therefore, I am requesting financial aid from my relations, family and friends, who believe in me and this work I have been doing and am seeking to do, so that I may attend this Prime Leadership training and further serve my community.
