Sadaqa Jariyah for Hajirah Anderson

Assalamu Alaikum dear brothers and sisters,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce our dear daughter Hajirah Anderson aged 27 has returned to Allah after a long battle with Cancer.

Hajirah's Story:

Hajirah's journey with cancer began at the young age of 7, enduring countless rounds of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, intensive chemotherapy, stem cell treatments, and even experimental drugs. She underwent surgeries, including the removal of one of her kidneys, a portions of her lung and liver. Despite enduring unimaginable difficulty, Hajirah's spirit remained unbroken.

Tragically, having battled for over 20 years, the cancer spread to various parts of her body, including her stomach, remaining kidney, lungs, liver, spleen, diaphragm, back, and head. In her final months, she was bedridden, unable to walk or even get out of bed. However, amidst her pain, Hajirah's character and personality always lit up every room she entered, left an impression with everyone she met and always put others first. Although she was in tremendous pain she refused pain medication so that she could be coherent and spend time with those she loved rather than be drowsy.

Surrounded by her family, on the 19th of March, Hajirah peacefully returned to her Lord in the blessed month of Ramadan. Her passing left an indelible impression on all those she encountered, with even the nurses in the hospital moved to tears.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "When a person dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that benefits, or a righteous child who prays for him." (Sahih Muslim)

Now, as a community, we ask to honor her memory and legacy by contributing to this Sadaqa Jariyah campaign established in her honor.

May Allah (SWT) grant Hajirah the highest ranks of Jannah and shower her with His mercy and forgiveness. Ameen.
