Sadaqah Jariya for Aabo

Donation protected
Salaam Alaikum,

I hope this finds you all in the best of health in sha Allah.

On March 23rd 2020 we unfortunately lost our father to Covid-19. His death was unexpected and his health deteriorated so quickly subhanallah. It was just over 5 days that things got really bad. Prior to that week, our dad was in the best of health. He was admitted into hospital Thursday night and he passed away in intensive care on Monday afternoon.

My dad was one of the most amazing, sweetest and wholesome men that I had ever come across. He was so kind wallahi and he loved his children so much. He always spoke highly of us, he would always do whatever he could, big or small, to help us out. Just to give you the smallest idea of the type of man he was, my dad would wake up 6AM everyday to drop us to the station if we had work or uni early in the morning. He would plan his day around ours. We live literally a 10 minute walk away from the station but he would be soo keen on taking us. He always thought of others before himself. In October 2019 he fell down the stairs of our flat and fractured his spine, the next day he was dropping us off to the station and doing all of his regular activities even though he was still in pain. I asked him “Aabo, why are you not resting?” and he told me he didn’t want my mum to have to do everything by herself.

Aabo was loved by everyone, he touched every heart he came across and the mark he left on everyone was so evident after his passing, Allah yerham. He was a simple man wallahi, he avoided arguments, he always encouraged us to learn and travel the world, he always told us never to be stingy or tight with our money and to give sadaqah when we could even if that was just 50p. He treated everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of who they were. He was honestly selfless wallahi. When the news of his passing reached our community, everyone from the shopkeepers, to our neighbours and even the homeless people in our area cried, all telling my mum how much of a lovely and good husband she had. Aabo loved to talk and laugh, we had so much giggles with him. Ramadan was our favourite time of the year because Aabo would always make us laugh on the table.

We can’t believe he is no longer with us. It doesn’t feel real wallahi, feels like he’s just gone and he will be back soon. We miss him immensely. Alhamdulillah for all our memories and all the lessons and wisdom he shared with us. He is not gone, he is within us and in sha Allah our love for him will always reside in our hearts. Losing a parent is a pain that nothing can prepare you for wallahi, may Allah grant us sabr and ease to get through this difficult time.

May Allah swt accept him as a shaheed and may he enter jannah firdous with no questions asked. May Allah swt have mercy on his soul, widen his grave and allow it to be filled with His noor. May Allah swt allow his grave to be a window of jannah firdous. Ameen ya rabb.

We are setting up this page to do some sadaqah jariyah on his behalf. We ask Allah swt to make our Aabo wealthy in his akhirah. Aabo has been taken away from us before we could give him all that we wanted to in this life, may Allah grant him everything that he wishes for and may He allow his akhirah to be more than everything he could’ve dreamed of in this life.

We intend to have wells made in his name, to donate Quran’s and prayer mats in masjids and in dugsi’s in Somalia. In sha Allah, we want to plant as many trees as we can for him and to contribute to the building of masjids because Aabo always prayed at the masjid so it is only right. Essentially, whatever we can do on his behalf, we will do for him bi’ithnillah. May Allah swt accept it as a means of sadaqah jariyah for him and for every single person who donates. May Allah swt purify our intentions and may He allow this to be one of the reasons that we enter Jannah firdous.

Jazakallah khayr for your time. Even if you can’t donate, all we ask for you is to keep our dad, Mohamed Hussein, in your duas. Please make duaa that Allah forgives him and accepts him as a shaheed so that he can reap all of the rewards. There is no one more deserving of this status and we know that it is rahma from Allah that He has taken him at a time where the reward is so great subhanallah. Aabo, Allah yerham, was such a clean hearted man, it is only right for his akhirah to be the best of the best in sha Allah ♥️

May Allah swt reunite us all in Jannah firdous with our loved ones. We urge you all to be careful during this time and to stay at home unless it’s urgent. We wouldn’t wish anyone to experience what we had to experience. May Allah safeguard us all from this virus and may He restore the health of those who have been inflicted by it. May Allah allow us to see this and plenty more ramadans and may Allah swt take us when He is pleased. Ameen ya Rabb ♥️
