Innaa lillahi wa innaa ilayhi raji'un
إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
This is to inform you that our beloved father/husband MOKTAR GAILANI (ABU MUNIR), father of Munir, Hanaa, Amal, Farah, and husband to Hajja Saida (Um Munir) has returned to our Creator.
On behalf of Hajj Moktar Gailani we would like to do Sadaqah Jariyah.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. (Muslim)
The intention is to build a water well for the needy inshallah.
- £200 would provide one water hand pump to a large community.
- £500 would provide one water well to a large community.
“The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]
Additional funds will be contributed towards the construction of a Mosque InshAllah.
Alhamduallah Hajj Moktar was a pillar in the Muslim community of Cardiff and we would like to continue his legacy through this project.
As people have asked how they could contribute especially as it is now Dhul Hijjah we have set up this page to widen the opportunity for others to take part in this beautiful sadaqah.
May Allah (swt) reward you for your contribution:
Dhul Hijjah to gain the reward of the most blessed days of the year, and don’t miss the day of Arafah! The Prophet (saw) said, ‘No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first) ten days (of Dhul Hijjah)’ - [Bukhari].
