Sadaqah Jariyah for Hassan Egal

Hassan Egal was a kind, virtuous and loving person who tirelessly served his community for over 20 years as the President and co-founder of the Somali Community WA inc. Hassan’s dedication and commitment to community work earned him the love and respect of many as a great leader in Perth, WA. As his daughter, I have both mourned and celebrated the extraordinary things my father was able to achieve in his lifetime and may Allah swt reward him for his efforts.

My father passed away in January 2023 at only 53 years old. My father, for most of my life battled complex medical issues and would respond by praising Allah swt with a smile on his face, through his patience and perseverance he continuously inspires myself and many others.

To honour his memory, myself and my family would like to raise funds to build a water well in a country where it would be needed most as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah.

“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.” (Muslim)

Allah tells us in the Qur’an that the reward of spending in charity is like: “A grain of corn which grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains” [Qur’an, 2:261].

I would be grateful for any amount of donations, May Allah reward you all sincerely, Ameen.

May Allah grant my father the highest rank in Jannah and forgive all his sins, Ameen.
